A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. McPherson County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads, including:

- The referring website, when one is provided
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them

No Criminal-Record Data on File
McPherson County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It provides general directions to records held by the McPherson County Sheriff, the County and District Courts, the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-record profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes placed on this site. A partner's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices govern the information submitted to its tool. We do not control those policies. Review the provider's terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the McPherson County government site, Nebraska court and agency portals, legal assistance resources, or third-party tools. Once you follow an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read that policy before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted advertising. We do not operate that cross-site tracking.

Stat. §§84-712 through 84-712.09, governs access to records held by Nebraska public bodies. Neb. Rev. Stat. §29-3523 limits public dissemination of specified criminal-history information. Those laws govern official records and do not convert this private site into a government records custodian. Where applicable law grants the right, you may:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion of eligible personal information
- Opt out of processing covered by that law
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as our practices change. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here with an updated effective date.
